Breast Cancer
Why Suburban Surgery Center for your breast care?
Our patients are our top priority.
We provide compassionate, state of the art care.
Ultrasound is used to examine each patient and biopsy can be done in the office if there is a solid lump in the breast. If there is suspicion of cancer, a clip is left in place.
If there is a cyst in the breast, then it can be drained using the ultrasound. This avoids a second trip to the radiologist and the anxiety caused by the delay. You will leave the office with answers to your questions.
New techniques are used to provide the latest technology for our patients. Did you know that the radiation treatment for breast cancer can be done with a balloon inserted in the breast and the treatment is shortened from 4-6 weeks to 5 days. We insert this balloon in the office under ultrasound guidance, under local anesthesia.
Compassionate care: We provide timely appointments. Sometimes we get behind in terms of seeing all the patients on time, however once a diagnosis of cancer is made, we are partners with you.
We will hug you, cry with you and then we will work with you to discuss all the options. Literature is given for you to read, because we want you to take control of your health. We are available to answer all your questions and encourage you to learn about breast cancer.
